The particle effects are really nice. What, I think, would make it better is if the smoke effect was continuous. Right now there is an abrupt pause for a few seconds before the next smoke effect appears. Using a blue-ish colored smoke, you can create a continous smoke effect that takes up the entire area instead :)

It's better, but there is still a pause - a portion of time where the entire screen is blank. Try to have the circles move around continuously. Right now, your animation is falling into a set pattern with the circles appearing only when the smoke is there.
Create multiple instances of the smoke so that, at any given time, the smoke animation is visible on the screen :)
